Terms of Service

Welcome to StriveTribes. By creating an account or using the StriveTribes mobile application or website ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use StriveTribes. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate information during registration
• You may not share or transfer your account
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is hateful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or sexually explicit
• Engage in hate speech, discrimination, or bullying
• Spam, solicit, or post commercial advertisements
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Share others' personal information without consent
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to manipulate leaderboards, challenges, or game mechanics through cheating
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose

4. User-Generated Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post (text, photos, activity data). By posting, you grant StriveTribes a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and reproduce your content within the Service for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.

Content Moderation

• We may review, flag, or remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines
• Content may be automatically screened for prohibited material
• We are not obligated to monitor all content but reserve the right to do so
• Users can report objectionable content and block other users

5. Enforcement & Termination

• Warnings — minor first-time violations may receive a warning
• Content removal — violating content will be removed
• Suspension — repeated violations (3 or more) may result in temporary account suspension (7 days)
• Ban — severe violations (threats, CSAM, doxxing) result in immediate permanent ban and referral to authorities where required
• Appeals — you may appeal moderation decisions by contacting support@strivetribes.com. Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days by a different moderator.

6. Health & Safety Disclaimer

StriveTribes is a fitness tracking and social application. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Training insights, AI coaching, and injury risk assessments are informational only. Always consult a healthcare provider before starting a new exercise program or if you have health concerns.

You exercise at your own risk. StriveTribes is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or health issues that may occur during activities tracked with the app.

7. Intellectual Property

The StriveTribes name, logo, design, and software are owned by StriveTribes and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services (Apple HealthKit, Apple WeatherKit, Firebase, Stytch). Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StriveTribes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
